あくまでSCIMAの世界ランキングでの話だが日本の私立大学はどの分野においても順位が低い。従って、こういう大学に入っても良い教育は受けられない可能性が高い。例えば私立大学トップと言われる慶応と早稲田を見ると下記のような順位だ。日本の優秀な高校生ならこれらの分野で世界トップに入るアメリカの大学に入ろうと思えば入れるはずだ。優秀であるはずの高校生が応募しても入れない結果に終わったのであれば、その原因は高校までの教育のレベルが低かったからだ。
