２００７年ころまでは、アメリカの大学に行くならハーバード、イエール、プリンストンかUCLA,UC-Berkeleyにしか応募しない、なんていう人が多かったようですが、２００７年あたりから中国人留学生が「爆発的」にアメリカに殺到し始め、そのために「著名」大学の合格率が軒並み下り始めました。そういう事情を知ろうともせず、「東大かハーバード」しか考えていない、とばかりに、むやみやたらに「著名大学」だけに応募するのでは東大に不合格になった場合は、結局、「世界ランキングで６００位あたりで低迷する日本の私立大学にいく羽目になってしまいます。
下記のような大学を視野に入れるべきだと思います。
例えばWorcester Polytechnic Institute は、かなり評判が良いようです。
